SPUNGE - BECAUSE EVEN A SPONGE DESERVES A GLOW UP

This project challenged us to transform a mundane, everyday item into a premium, market-ready product.

While doing the dishes, I found myself uninspired by the standard kitchen sponge. It was functional but forgettable. Brands like Scrub Daddy offered playful alternatives, but few truly embodied the aesthetics or quality of an upper-market product.
I identified two key areas for improvement: reusability and storage. Most sponges lacked both sustainability and an elegant solution for keeping them clean and accessible. This insight led me to reimagine the product entirely.

Using Shapr3D, I explored a series of innovative forms for a reusable sponge and its accompanying holder, designed not just for function, but for visual appeal in a modern kitchen environment. The result was a refined, elevated take on an overlooked essential.
