WHERE REMBRANDT MEETS RENEGADE - THE NIKE AIRMAX AMSTERDAM

For this project, I was tasked with designing packaging inspired by a personal passion. As a sneaker enthusiast and recent traveller to Amsterdam, I chose to create a unique take on Nike footwear packaging, infused with the cultural essence of the city.

Drawing inspiration from the rich artistic heritage of the Rijksmuseum and the bold expression of the Street Art Museum, I developed a watercolour-themed concept for the box. The aim was to merge the elegance of traditional art with the raw energy of urban culture, capturing the dual spirit of Amsterdam.

While I see areas where the execution could be improved, I’ve chosen to include this piece in my portfolio to reflect my journey and growth as a designer. Every project, successful or not, shapes how I approach my work, and this one marked a valuable step in developing both my visual storytelling and conceptual thinking.
